Reading the site

You can read everything on this site without an account and without giving us any personal information. The site uses privacy-respecting analytics to count visits and see which pages are useful. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual readers.

Email subscriptions

If you subscribe to the newsletter, we store your email address for the single purpose of sending it. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes your address from the list. Addresses are never sold or shared with advertisers.

Contact messages

If you write to us, we keep the message for as long as needed to respond and to maintain a record of corrections and resource suggestions, and no longer.

Children's information

This site is written for adults who work with or care for children. It is not directed at children, does not knowingly collect information from children, and asks readers never to send us information about an identifiable student or child. Messages containing such information are deleted.

Cookies

The site itself sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If embedded third-party content is used on a page, it is labelled as such.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with the date of the change.
